Matt Trumble Strikes Again…

This time in his alma-mater. Matt was asked to speak to the students in the Construction Management program at Montgomery College. He did a great job, Powerpoint presentation and all, pretty cool for a field guy. He spoke about his history first, then transitioned into what it takes to be a successful Superintendent. After his presentation, he opened the floor to a great question and answer session. Allowing students to ask him anything from how he made his days work with a school schedule and full-time job, to his current schedule and tips to how to succeed in the industry. Matt took the time to answer each to the student’s satisfaction, with his trademark honesty and humility.

Through their vision, leadership, problem solving, and enlisting the support and assistance from a number community groups and volunteers, this program has been successfully offering after-school tutoring for 2nd graders at the Stedwick Community Center, catching individual students up, who missed essential learning during the pandemic. Since its inception, the program has evolved into an all-encompassing family opportunity during these tutoring sessions. The parents who bring their second graders for reading support are now also being taught English. Childcare is also being provided for the youngest family members in attendance, allowing their siblings and parents the necessary, uninterrupted learning time.Greg Ramirez, from Henley, was present Monday night when Dr. Monica McKnight, Superintendent for Montgomery County Public Schools stopped by to learn more about the program and witness the wonderful work that has been accomplished by Norm Gordon and his team at Germantown Global Connection. ...
