DescriptionThe Diamond Elementary School Addition project consisted of a new 18,000 SF addition on the back of the existing school. Adding eight new classrooms, associated offices, and a teachers lounge, the addition would now serve as the new Kindergarten wing. The shape of the addition also created a new courtyard space with patios and lawn for outdoor learning, while also providing natural light for the new and old spaces in the building. Existing electrical service was replaced with a new electric room located in the new addition feeding both the new and existing spaces. The project also included major site work upgrades; the replacement of old parking lots with new ones, adding much-needed parking, installation of a new sewer line to serve the new addition, and a substantial new storm line and bio-retention pond to manage stormwater, bringing the site up to County requirements.
